"A hundred thousand welcomes, dear friends," to our celebration of Scottish heritage. Scotland is for everyone. With the sponsorship of the City of Alexandria, and the devoted labors of our Heritage Fair Council and many helpers, we are happy to offer you a small part of Scotland's enormous legacy of music, legend, and dance.

Alexandria celebrates the heritage of many ethnic groups through its outstanding Department of Recreation, Parks, and Cultural Activities. City sponsorship of a Scottish Fair is especially appropriate since Alexandria was founded by Scottish merchants. The Alexandria Scottish Heritage Educational Foundation is deeply grateful for the resources, advice, and moral support the City has extended to the Fair.
